MADAGASCAR: Galana hybridises its agencies

Galana Go Green: hybridisation of their Tuléar Agency.

July 2021

The hybridisation of our Galana Tuléar sales agency in southern Madagascar is effective as part of the “Galana Go Green” programme, one of the main objectives of which is the decarbonisation of our activities.

The installation is connected to the JIRAMA network (the state-owned company that supplies water and electricity) and provides the agency with electricity during the day. This installation composed of eight (8) photovoltaic solar panels provides a solar power capacity of 3.16 kWc. It has remote monitoring to collect historical data from the installation, but also to detect and alert in the event of a technical problem.

This first installation contributes to reducing our carbon emissions by 3 tonnes CO2 equivalent per year.

In line with this action, four other Galana sales agencies will be hybridised by the end of 2021.
